Yellowstone Park

Even though we live an hour and a half away from the Yellowstone National Park we have not been visiting it as often as I would like to.  Last time A and I were there was six years ago, my mom's first visit to Montana. This time the weather was not as nice but the drive was beautiful, thanks to three weeks of straight rain, everything is green.  We saw a lot of elk, deer, buffalo, several eagles.  I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a big black bear before it disappeared into the pine trees.

It was a lot of fun watching "Old Faithful" geyser erupt.  I love visiting the Park, because you get to see people from different states as well as different countries making their way through all of the destinations the Park has to offer.

A and I both agreed that we should at least drive down to the park once or twice this summer to go hiking around couple of the trails and walk around some of the hot pools.  So, when we actually get the summer (maybe in July) an overnight camping trip will be in order.  Note for my shopping list:  Invest into bear spray.
